No matter where you go in Azeroth, alliance or horde, there are bound to be a plethora raptors of many varieties. From Arathi Highlands to the Southern Barrens, Stranglethorn Vale to Dustwallow Marsh, where there are raptors, there’s Raptor Flesh.
Arguably one of the most gamey of all meats in Azeroth. I don’t think it would take second in any comparison to even caribou.
Not to fret. These steak bits can be cooked so tender that they almost melt in your mouth. A quick and easy meal that you can pretty find supplies for almost anywhere.
Sshh, it’s raptor season, and I’m hunting raptors!
2 lbs. Beef tenderloin, cut into bite sized pieces
1 lb. Mushrooms, sliced
3-4 Cloves of garlic, minced
2-3 Tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
1/2 cup Red wine
1 cup Beef stock
Heat oil with high heat in a saucepan.
Add minced garlic and sautee. Remove any burnt garlic, if necessary.
Add steak tips, season with salt and pepper, and sear until half cooked.
Add mushrooms and sautee 2 minutes.
Reduce heat to medium and deglaze with red wine.
Add stock and slow simmer 8-15 minutes depending on how done the steak tips are. Don’t overcook or it will become too tough to chew.
You can make a Roux and thicken the sauce but I like to serve it over rice and just enjoy it with the remaining wine.
