Cluck Cluck: GG’s Super Easy Westfall Chicken Pot Pie

When leveling a new toon, I often cringe and sigh when I approach Westfall.

It’s just so damn depressing.

The place is thick with transient folk, hobos and homeless people milling around.

It doesn’t help that you have bat-crap crazy Vanessa Van Cleef riling them to revolt.

The cuisine is severely lacking as well. The poor residents seem to only have a choice between foul dish made with dirt and coyote tails or the infamous Westfall Stew.

What I don’t understand is why, with all the poor hungry folk starving in Westfall, there is even one clucking chicken in the whole place?

Maybe it’s because they have never had one of my super easy chicken pot pies.

Alas, the residents of Westfall will never get a chance to sample this tasty treat.

But for all my friends and followers out there, I have provided the recipe below.

1/3 cup butter

1/3 cup onion; chopped

1/3 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 can of cream of chicken soup

14 ounce chicken broth

1/2 cup milk

2 1/2 cups shredded chicken

2 cups frozen mixed vegetables; thawed

2 ready-serve deep dish pie crusts

1 medium potato; diced and boiled

1. Heat oven 425 degrees, make pie crust as directed box and ready serve.

2. In 2 qt. saucepan melt butter over medium heat. Add onion, cook 2 minutes, stirring frequently until tender. Stir in flour, salt pepper until well blended.. Gradually stir in soup, broth and milk, cooking and stirring until bubbly and thickened.

3. Stir in chicken and mixed vegetables. Remove from heat, and put the filling into pie crust. Top with pie crust, and cut slits in top to allow steam to escape.

4. Bake 30 minutes or until golden brown. During last 15 minutes cover edges. Let stand 15 minutes before serving.
