Heroic Dungeon Dining: Blood Shrimp Skewers

image

Raids ‘de’-converted to dungeons don’t always downgrade well. Heroic Zul’gurub is one of those such conversions for me. I usually have a great sense of direction, but the switchbacks and ‘pocket rooms’ with mini bosses always seem to confuse the everloving sh!t outta me. Wipes will always ensue.
What to do while waiting for the rest of the party to come off cooldown? Easy. Loot those Gurubashi refugees for blood shrimp. Pally tanking on Heroic, I just don’t need Sparkling Oasis Water, ya know? Oasis water in the jungle? Good one, Blizz.
Just scoop up them Blood Shrimp. The refugees don’t need them anymore and shield bashing their heads works up a hefty appetite to rival my shield.
Without further snark, here comes a savory delicious shield bashing blood (thai) shrimp snack.

Cheers,
GG’sGuy

Ingredients
1 lb.   Raw large shrimp (26-32 size)
Thai sweet chili sauce, or make your own with honey and red pepper flakes*
Coarse ground black pepper
1-3     limes or lemons
Fresh cilantro or Thai Basil(optional)
Skewers, duh

Directions
Skewer several shrimp and set aside on a plate.

Squeeze juice of half a lime onto all skewers and season lightly with pepper.

Drizzle chili sauce onto seasoned shrimp turning to coat.

Spray nonstick cooking spray onto pan and grill the shrimp 3-5 minutes on each side.

Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve with lime wedges.

*Thai sweet chili sauce is mostly sweet and barely hot. The addition of black pepper manages this, but adjust to suit your palette. Cilantro has a slight kick as well. You may want sprinkle some shredded coconut on after grilling for a sweeter and crunchier experience. Enjoy!
